What categories do the 69 Steam trophies cover?

The full list is enumerable — unusual for a roguelike — which makes grouping more useful than a flat alphabet soup. Percentages below come from Steam global unlock at launch window; they will drift as more players finish runs.

Boss ladder maps to Tier progression

Boss Blaster triggers on any boss win. Silver Star Dude needs a Silver Star boss fight. The G.O.A.T. is the Tier 1 Gold Star capstone; Freight Train is Tier 2's Killipede equivalent; Cosmic Forces is the Tier 3 finale. G.O.A.T. Crusher adds a speed kill on top. Use the enemies guide for boss order and Trinket prep — achievements assume you already know who hits which Tier.

Collection mirrors Ranch milestones

I've Seen Things (20 Collectibles) aligns with the first Ranch Pocket Dice reward. I've Seen Too Much is the full Collectible set — a late-account marathon paired with I'm Every Dude (every Dude Type) and Trinket Tinkerer (every Trinket). These are the achievements most players finish passively while chasing Gold Stars on the ranch guide Collection track.

Categories sorted — next is what you can expect without trying during a normal first campaign.

Which achievements unlock on a normal first run?

A first Tier 1 run that reaches Act bosses without deliberate trophy hunting still clears a double-digit chunk of the list. These are the trophies Steam shows above 50% global unlock at launch.

Silver and Gold Stars appear before you hunt them

Winning Star fights fills Ranch Collection progress whether or not you open the achievements tab. Launch streams note the Tier 2 gate — Gold Stars on five Dude Types — appearing before players have five distinct types mastered. That is normal; backfill Stars on Tier 1 later per official Don't Fear the Tier guidance.

Do not juice your way out of Thirsty Dudes early

Thirsty Dudes (beat round 80 with zero Dude Juice used) is the opposite of natural — call it out so you do not waste it. If you panic-revive every knockout, you hard-lock a run-long restriction trophy until you intentionally plan a no-juice climb. See tips for juice discipline.

Natural unlocks taper off after Act 3 — Family-specific routes pick up the slack next.

How do mono-Family win trophies work?

Six achievements demand a full-run win with every Dude on your roster from one Family tag. That is harder than it sounds under the five unique Dude Types cap — you cannot stack five Knights — but Flyers and Ranch unlocks make mono-Family drafts viable once a tag is complete.

Family Dude and Dude Dabbler are the long goals

Family Dude asks for Gold Stars on every Dude and Relic in one Family — a Ranch-long project. Dude Dabbler wants one Gold Star Dude from each of the six Families (Action, Employed, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Undead, Warrior). Mono-Family win trophies are practice runs for those mastery grinds; use the families guide breakpoints before you commit ten runs to Employed only.

Sensitivity Training needs five Families plus Smuggler

Sensitivity Training breaks the mono-Family pattern: win with five different Families on roster and a Smuggler Dude Relic. Plan it as a hybrid run after you have Smuggler discovered — not as your first mono-Family attempt.

Family routes cover run wins; stat trophies need lab setups instead — covered below.

Which achievements need deliberate build planning?

Roughly half the list is stat threshold in a single battle or extreme economic totals in one run. These rarely happen on a balanced Tier 2 campaign — you aim for them in Tier 1 Endless or a seeded lab run with Ensemble.

Preset teams — use Ensemble

Big Pumpers (Ninja, Wizard, Ranger, Electrician, Trooper), On The Move (Cowboy, Alien, Samurai, Explorer, Wizard), Retaliation (Psionic, Agent, Paladin, Spartan, Druid), and Support Squad (Alien, General, Lich, Time, Manager) are exact five-type lists. Classic Flyer RNG can theoretically hit one, but Ensemble pre-posted Flyers — unlocked via Ranch Collection on the ranch guide — are the intended route.

Iron Dude and Thirsty Dudes are run rulesets

Iron Dude: win without consumables on any boss fight. Thirsty Dudes: reach round 80 with zero Dude Juice spent. Both punish sloppy habits from the beginner guide. Run them on Tier 1 once your Family spine clears bosses comfortably — not while learning.

Hidden and joke trophies

Probably Needed Those has no public Steam description — treat it as hidden until community datamines confirm the trigger. Baby Boomer (50,000 toddlers) and Single-Minded Dude (40+ of one type on roster via Relic rules) are meme thresholds that still need intentional farming in Endless.

Lab trophies fill the mid-late checklist — the final section orders everything into a completion route.

What order should I chase 100% completion?

Treat 100% as four passes overlaid on normal Ranch progression — not a single perfection run.

Track on Steam — not memory

Pin the game in Steam, sort achievements by Unlocked, and filter remaining by category using the tables above. Mobile stores may differ — this guide is Steam-first; verify Apple Game Center or Play Games parity separately if you cross-save.

When to stop forcing 100%

Dude Master on one Dude plus all its Relics is dozens of boss repeats. If launch-week patches rebalance Families, finish campaign and Tier trophies first, then revisit mastery after balance settles — patch notes land on Discord and Steam news faster than any wiki row update.
