How Many Dudes trinkets are boss rewards bound to one Dude Type on your roster — including the common ask best trinkets for the Medic Dude (Medical License). The top search best trinket for each dude also lands here. After Act bosses or Trinket stash events you pick a modifier that rewrites that type's kit for the rest of the run. One slot per type; a new pick destroys the old one. Verified August 16, 2026 · Steam.

| Binding | One Trinket per Dude type on roster (not per individual Dude) |
| Sources | Act bosses · Trinket stash events · some elite fights |
| Replace rule | New Trinket overwrites old — no inventory bank |
| Run scope | Lost when run ends — Ranch widens discovery, not carry-over |
| Pairs with | Relics (run-wide) · tier list draft order |
| Roster cap | 5 unique Dude Types per run — plan Trinkets for types you will keep all run |

If Relics set the rules of the run, Trinkets specialize one type into a carry, tank, or economy engine. You cannot shop for Trinkets with gold — bosses and stash nodes are the gate.
| Question | Trinkets | Relics |
|---|---|---|
| Who gets it? | One named Dude type | Entire roster |
| How many? | 1 slot per type | All owned Relics stay active |
| Mid-run swap? | Yes — destroys previous | Add-only until run ends |
| Best planning tool | Boss route map | Family tag shop pool |
Acts 1–2: secure taunt/heal Relics from shops. First Act boss: bind a Trinket to your carry (Wizard, Manager, Ninja) or stabilizer (General, Cleric). Acts 3+: hunt stash upgrades or boss swaps only when the new Trinket completes a loop — not for +5% stat bait.
Drop timing and node types are next.
Trinkets arrive at Act bosses and occasional Trinket stash map nodes. Boss windows offer three choices biased toward types on your roster — not every Trinket exists in every pool, but your five types always have something usable.

| Node | When | Pick rules |
|---|---|---|
| Act boss | End of each Act | Three Trinkets — usually tags matching roster Families |
| Trinket stash | Random map event | Bind to any type on roster; overwrites existing |
| Elite / challenge fights | Higher Tiers only | Bonus stash or upgraded options — verify in Dudex |
Launch footage shows players hitting Act 1 bosses with two–three types online and still receiving usable Trinkets — you do not need a perfect five-stack. You do need alive carries: burning Dude Juice before a boss and arriving with no taunt means even a strong Trinket cannot save the fight.
Trinket stashes can appear before your first boss. Grabbing a mid Trinket on a type you might replace later wastes the slot — finish Flyer recruitment when possible, then bind. If the stash offers only off-role picks, skip or bind to a flex type (Agent, Ghost) you keep until end.
Binding rules determine whether that skip was wise — next section.
Each Dude type on your roster holds at most one Trinket. Duplicates of the same type are impossible under the five-unique rule, so "one Trinket per Dude" and "one per type" mean the same thing in normal runs.

Stash UI states plainly: binding a new Trinket destroys the old one on that type. Mid-run experiments belong on flex slots — never throw away Therapy on General or ADHD on Wizard for a marginal stat stick unless the run is already lost.
Empty slots are fine for one Act if the boss pool offered nothing good. A bad Trinket is harder to fix than an empty slot — you must overwrite to remove it. Prefer waiting for the next boss or stash over binding Weighted Vest on a Dude that needs Run Speed.

This best trinket for each dude matrix lists launch-window recommendations from Dudex tooltips, boss pools, and community clears — not exclusive pairings. When the boss offers your listed pick, take it; when not, choose the closest trigger match (Crit, Taunt, Heal, Move, Stored damage).

Not every run offers ADHD or Therapy on the first boss. Second-best rules: Wizard takes Glass Cannon or Airhorn; General takes Neckbrace or Pet Rock; Ninja always prefers anything with Crit in the tooltip. Cross-reference Relics — a missing Trinket can be half-fixed by a named Relic.
Skeledude is summoned by Necrodude — not a Flyer pick. Do not plan boss routes for Skeledude Trinkets; buff Necrodude instead. Summon-heavy boards want Shovel or Ancient Sword Relic pairs from the relics guide.
Boss routing turns these picks from theory into guaranteed offers — below.
Boss routes are not fully player-chosen — the map branches — but you can bias toward harder paths when your carry type needs the next Trinket slot and skip risky side nodes when a binding is one fight away.
| Carry type | Priority Trinket | Route habit |
|---|---|---|
| Wizard / Fantasy carry | ADHD | Take cash nodes before Act 2 boss · keep Wizard alive with juice |
| General / Warrior wall | Therapy | Stack Warrior tags pre-boss · avoid swarm nodes without cleave |
| Manager / Employed burst | Diss Track | Business events for cash · boss after Intern Relics online |
| Ninja / Action crit | Glass Cannon | Crit Relics first · boss after Arsenal or monocle equivalent |
| Cleric / heal anchor | Inhaler | Safe nodes only · never juice healer before boss |
| Necrodude / Undead swarm | Shovel | Delay boss until Bag of Bones or summon Relic owned |
Typical Acts end with one boss Trinket window. Plan which type gets the first binding (usually carry), which gets the second (taunt or healer), and which flex type can wait. Act 3 bosses often need Therapy or ADHD online — not a fourth damage Trinket on Viking.
Gorilla packs, Bee swarms, and Horse-sized Duck fights punish wrong Trinket timing — see enemies guide for count-heavy nodes to skip when you are one boss away from a bind. Trinkets do not fix zero taunt; they multiply roles you already built.
Tier 2–3 spike Trinkets are the last section.
Late how many dudes trinkets picks that show up in Tier 3 clears and healing-loop runs — movement, Stored damage, and toughness scaling beat raw +Attack when enemy count scales.
| Trinket | Spike type | Best on | Late-game note |
|---|---|---|---|
| ADHD | Dash + Run Speed | Wizard, Ninja | Backline access vs 287 Bees |
| Therapy | Toughness vs HP | General, Spartan | Gorilla burst mitigation |
| Glass Cannon | Crit snowball | Ninja, Ranger | Needs existing Crit Relics |
| Diss Track / Bad Credit | Stored true damage | Manager, Lich, Finance | Boss DPS check |
| Shovel | Cleave on KO | Necrodude | Swarm clears after first deaths |
| Inhaler / Socialism | Heal scaling | Cleric, Medic, Farmer | Tier 3 attrition |
| Taser | Shock on travel | Samurai | Mobile finisher vs large single targets |
| Face Tattoo | Deflect tank | Spartan | Multi-hit boss redirect |
ADHD Wizard plus Arcane Monocle is the most filmed Fantasy spike. Therapy General plus Belted Greaves anchors Warrior walls. Diss Track Manager plus Bonus Check Relic turns Intern storage into boss deletes — wire full teams on builds.
If your carry Trinket already completes a loop, late bosses can bind Pet Rock on Knight or Medical License on Medic instead of greed-swapping ADHD for +10% Attack Power. Overwriting is permanent — Tier 3 rewards stability over marginal upgrades.
Per type on roster. You cannot field two Wizards, so one slot covers that type for the run.
No — Trinkets reset each run. Ranch meta unlocks more names into discovery pools, not carry-over items.
ADHD — Run Speed and periodic dash to farthest enemy. Glass Cannon is second when boss pool lacks ADHD.
Therapy — Toughness scales with current HP above 70%, down to 10%. Core Warrior stabilizer in launch clears.
Medical License — damage dealt heals allies and feeds Medic threshold heals. Aug 2 2026 hotfix cut its CPU cost without changing throughput; still the default Employed healer bind.
Yes — different layers. Relics stay active team-wide; Trinkets modify one type. Plan both from Act 1.
No — only overwrite via a new bind. Empty slot is better than a wrong Trinket until the next boss.
