How Many Dudes enemies scale from toddlers and duck-sized horses to gorilla packs, bee swarms, and the G.O.A.T. finale across three Tiers of Challenge. Combat is fully automatic — you win or lose on roster stats, Relics, Trinkets, and node choice before the fight starts. This bosses guide maps Act cadence, enemy count traps, and which boss kills feed the trinkets matrix. Verified August 16, 2026 · Steam.

How Many Dudes? resolves combat automatically once you click Fight. Your levers are roster order, Relics, Trinkets, consumables, and which node you take — not on-demand abilities.
| You decide | Game resolves |
|---|---|
| Hard vs safe node (cash vs HP) | Enemy composition and count for that node |
| Team positions on roster bar | Dash paths, cleave angles, who gets focused |
| Relics and Trinkets | Triggers — taunt, heal, crit, stored damage |
| Dude Juice use | Revive Unconscious types mid-run |
| Manual targeting | Nothing — autobattler only |
Dudes can fall Unconscious and recover between nodes if you preserve HP on the roster. Dude Juice revives them faster but costs cash — save juice for bosses where losing your solo healer ends the run. See the beginner guide for juice habits.
Three Tiers of Challenge layer on top of this model — higher Tiers remix enemy rules, not your control scheme.
Three Tiers of Challenge are the main difficulty ladder on Steam (PC) · iOS · Android · Steam Deck Verified. Tier 1 teaches Act cadence and the G.O.A.T. gate; Tier 2–3 add enemy variety and Star requirements for Ranch unlocks.
| Tier | Audience | Enemy feel | Reward note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 | First clears, learning bosses | Toddlers → bees → gorillas → G.O.A.T. | Gold star on round 105 G.O.A.T. kill |
| Tier 2 | Ranch unlocks, Star hunting | Tougher traits, earlier stat checks | Stars backfillable per official guidance |
| Tier 3 | Collection completion | Maximum enemy rulesets | Best for targeted Trinket/Star farming once built |
Butterscotch encourages jumping into higher Tiers for early Star payouts you can backfill later. Losing on Tier 2 still teaches boss timing faster than overstaying Tier 1 with a solved comp.
Daily Dude shares a seed leaderboard — enemy rules are fixed for the day. Ensemble Mode lets you pre-post Flyers; enemy scaling is the same autobattler math with a stronger draft. Dedicated mode pages are P1 when search volume justifies them.
Early Acts on Tier 1 are where most players first feel count scaling — toddlers and bees below.
Opening nodes are tutorial pacing: small counts, low toughness, and cash rewards that fund your first shop. They still punish all-damage rosters if you take every hard fight.

Single bruiser — taunt + sustain

High HP oddball — stored damage

G.O.A.T. round 105 gold star
Early 10 toddlers for $100 nodes are safe burst checks. Later Acts reuse toddler counts at absurd scale — the same label that felt trivial in round 1 becomes a cleave exam in mid Acts.
King cobras, silverback gorillas, and diamondback gorillas appear as Acts advance. Dudex lists Enemy Traits — some pack poison, others boost toughness. When a type is new to your run, take the safe node once to read its tooltip before betting the boss.
Act bosses gate Trinkets — the cadence table is the roadmap for when those drops appear.
Long Tier 1 runs follow a rising boss rhythm. Exact enemy names rotate by Act, but launch footage consistently hits major Trinket stash checkpoints at rounds 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100, with G.O.A.T. at round 105 on Tier 1.
| Checkpoint | Typical fight shape | Reward | Prep focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Round 20 | Bee swarm boss | First major Trinket stash | Cleave + AoE taunt |
| Round 40 | Mixed bruiser boss | Trinket stash | Bind Trinket to carry; juice healer |
| Round 60 | Heavy swarm or elite mix | Trinket stash | Stored damage or execute tools |
| Round 80 | Goat / ram themed packs | Trinket stash | Toughness spikes; consumables OK |
| Round 100 | Large mixed boss | Trinket stash before finale push | Audit roster order and revives |
| Round 105 | G.O.A.T. | Tier 1 gold star + rewards | Sustain + true damage + mobility |
Runs advance through Acts with themed enemy pools — Act three might lean bees, Act six opens coliseum-style encounters. Boss nodes play distinct audio cues; use them to spend cash on juice or consumables before you click Fight.
After many boss wins you get a Trinket stash — buy one Trinket and bind it to a Dude type on your roster for the rest of the run. Match the bind to your Family carry before you enter the next Act. Full per-type picks live on trinkets.
Enemy shape — swarm vs bruiser — decides which stats matter at each checkpoint.
Enemy labels tell you both shape and quantity. Swarms want cleave, pulse heals, and toughness; single bruisers want stored damage, execute thresholds, and long-fight sustain.

G.O.A.T. round 105 gold star
Mid-run nodes can stack absurd counts — 452 goats style packs appear in long Tier 1 footage. If your team only spikes one target, the node time-outs while goats chip you down. Bandoleer, fireballs, and orbital strikes exist precisely for these labels.
Silverback and diamondback gorilla packs are gear checks for block and healing received. Warrior/Undead sustain builds tolerate them; glass crit boards should take the safe route until a boss Trinket is online.
Round 20 bee bosses combine swarm pressure with a heavy Big Bee hit. Launch runs show teams without toughness stacking losing Dudes to one swing — prep temporary HP Relics (Ablative Shield, Andon Cord) before this checkpoint.
The hardest single enemy check on Tier 1 is usually G.O.A.T. — details below.
G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time) is the Tier 1 finale boss on long runs — historically around round 110, now commonly appearing at round 105 in launch-week patches. Defeating G.O.A.T. awards a gold star for Tier 1 mastery and closes the run's main progression arc.

G.O.A.T. round 105 gold star
Footage of round 105 attempts shows G.O.A.T. absorbing full-team burst while rams or adds clutter the field. Teams that only stacked Attack Power without sustain time out or wipe to chip damage. Plan For the Big Bosses is official advice for a reason — see tips.
Some runs continue past the gold star with escalated encounters (toxic gas traits, repeat boss rounds). Treat post-105 as bonus farming unless you are chasing Stars or achievements — see achievements guide.
Map which earlier bosses fed the Trinkets that made G.O.A.T. possible — kill order matters.
Trinkets drop from boss milestones, not trash nodes. Prioritize bosses that match your carry Dude type and the enemy shape you struggle with most.
| If your carry is… | Prioritize Trinket bind after… | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wizard / Fantasy AOE | Round 20 or 40 stash | Crit/AP Trinkets spike swarm clears |
| Knight / Warrior taunt | Round 40 or 60 | Block/toughness Trinkets stabilize gorilla Acts |
| Manager / Employed | Round 60+ | Speed/crit Trinkets accelerate expel loops |
| Lich / Undead storage | Round 80 or 100 | Survival Trinkets for G.O.A.T. marathon |
| Pirate / Action cleave | Round 20 bee boss | Evasion/taunt Trinkets protect cleave uptime |
Each Dude type accepts one Trinket for the run. Rebinding mid-run is limited — choose the type that will still be on your roster at G.O.A.T. Do not bind a throwaway scout type unless you plan to keep them through round 100.
Boss order and Family tags should align: Fantasy teams want early swarm bosses for AP Trinkets; Undead teams can delay bind until storage tools online. Cross-link families guide before you reroll Flyers mid-run.
No. Combat auto-resolves. You draft, shop, order the roster, and pick nodes — the autobattler handles attacks and targeting.
Act boss kills open a Trinket stash — see the boss cadence table above and the trinkets guide.
Tier 1 long runs spawn G.O.A.T. at round 105 in current launch patches (previously ~round 110). Defeating it earns a Tier 1 gold star.
High enemy count needs cleave and AoE taunt — single-target DPS loses to chip damage even when sheet DPS looks fine.
Progressive difficulty ladders with unique enemy rulesets and Star rewards. Tier 1 teaches bosses; Tier 2–3 test completed rosters.
Same three-Tier structure at launch on Steam, iOS, and Android. Patch notes may shift counts or traits.
Trinkets for per-type boss rewards, then best builds to align your Family spine with boss routes.
